Today Ava Was What We Needed

No matter what's going on in our lives, we can always count on you for a smile. 

Always good for a smile.

Your mom got the news she had been anticipating this evening. 

You can mentally prepare yourself for unfavorable news, but no matter what, when it happens, it stings. 


You're an infant, obviously making you oblivious to stress and adult responsibility and this has helped us tremendously these past few weeks. 

That's why, for us, we're blessed to have you in our life. When the going gets tough, you come through with a cheeky grin and momentarily we can escape reality. 

Today was no different, you've been a happy baby all day.

We're going to look at this setback as an opportunity for us to select our next path and make the most of it. What lies ahead, we don't know. 

What we do know is we'll be better of for this experience and make sure you (and any future siblings) enjoy a fruitful childhood. 

We're smart, resourceful, we'll be just fine!
