Though it isn't your favorite cartoon on Disney Junior, it's in your top three.
I mentioned the show to mom when I got home from work and we decided to take you out to the 4:00 p.m. show.
You watched the twenty minute show intently from my shoulder while eating some of moms some pretzels. There was even a meet and greet afterwards with a photo opportunity but you were too interested in touching the costumes of Kwazii and Captain Barnacles for us to get a good shot.
Following the Octonoauts, we went up to MAPS Air Museum to see a few more vintage warbirds. You enjoyed the B-29 so much a few months ago, I wanted to take you to the museum to see these as well.
You never know how long these airplanes might still be flying, so even though you won't remember seeing them, I still wanted to show you a little history and teach you about your heritage.
The Collings Foundation flew in their B-17 "Nine O'Nine" and B-24 "Witchcraft" to MAPS for the weekend.
Your great grandpa Kessler flew 19 missions on a B-17 during WWII before being shot down and spending two years in prison camp. I'll share his book with you when you're ready to read it.
After his passing in 2003 the museum dedicated a display in his memory and today you "met" your great grandpa through this collection of his artifacts and documentary video of his wartime experiences.
