I don't like to begin things on the wrong foot so lets start with the good. You're as healthy as can be. Right on target with height and weight and our concern over your lack of eating was all for naught.
Now for the bad news ... you had to get shots.
We anticipated two or three, but when the nurse came in with four needles on a tray, your mom's heart sank.
How would you take them this time? It's getting more difficult as you get older and realize what's coming.
I was keeping your upper body still as mom and the nurse help your legs. Three of us holding you didn't matter. You have some crazy baby strength, I'm kinda proud of that.
To help keep you still (and mom from crying) we switched positions and I helped hold your legs steady to make it easy on the nurse.
You wiggled at just the right time and the second needle scraped your leg a bit. That'll be a nice mark you can show off to your friends.
You cried for maybe five minutes once the fourth needle was out of your leg. When we walked past the nurses station you gave ours a glare and shortly after that all was forgotten.
Let's hope you sleep it off!
