Today Ava Had Ice Cream From Paul's

At just under 19 months old you've had your fair shareof ice cream already. From Country Cones here at home to Paul's Drive In - the local Shelby classic and many ice cream stands in between. 

Paul's recently opened and even though the weather was barely above freezing, the first trip to Paul's of the season was necessary. Having stayed with your grandparents last night, we were able to go down the road for a cone this afternoon. 

Which I might ad you enjoyed before we were even out the door. 

In  testament to how quickly you're growing up, you insisted on holding the cone and feeding yourself. Last summer, it was up to your mom and I to hold your cone for you and let you lick the ice cream.

Sadly, those days are gone. But, on the plus side, that just means we can eat our treats before they melt
