Today Ava Went To First Friday

We were looking for something different to do tonight and decided we'd head out to First Friday downtown. 

First Friday is an event put on by the city of Canton that occurs ... you guessed it .. on the first Friday of every month. 

Grandma Fenner came to town to watch you for the day and you were so excited you forgot to nap. 

Mom and I thought this could be a good thing and that you'd fall asleep around 8:30 or so tonight. 

Na. 

As we pulled into the parking lot you were out cold. We got you out and you popped your head up for a second, surveyed the surroundings, and back on my shoulder your head went. 

None of us had dinner so we opted for a sandwich at a new shop in town called Cheese Louise. It's a local answer to the popular Melt located in the Cleveland area. 

We sat near a large speaker (maybe intentionally, maybe not) and you didn't so much as flinch.

After dinner we walked around to see what the event had to offer. 

With the sounds of a drum circle in the distance you popped up and we made our way over.

You were interested, but not quite awake. It was an intent, but blank stare as the drummers hammered away on their instruments. 

We it became apparent that you'd had enough we made our way back to the vendors for some lemonade but not before stopping at the kettle corn vendor. 

You love popcorn and took right to the bag we purchased. 

Munching on some popcorn and washing it down with a fresh-squeezed lemonade we made our way back to the car and headed home.
