Mom worked an open house and immediately following she and Karen met with a potential client to list a home. Keep your little fingers crossed that it comes through for them!
We attempted to get groceries but I thought you might like a little treat first so we went across the street from Aldi for a sandwich at Arby's. You refused.
Wouldn't even eat ketchup - which is odd for you. You - like your Uncle Kris - sometimes enjoy a little food with your tomato-based condiment.
I took this as a sign of being tired so we bypassed the groceries and went home for a nap.
If I tried to go back to the room to lay down you bawled your eyes out.
So, we sat on the couch and watched a few episodes of Mickey.
After a bit, you seemed to gain a second wind and I thought it would be a good time to get our chore done.
We didn't even get to the end of the street before I looked back and saw this ...
Strike two on the groceries.
Third time's a charm?
I was able to get you from the truck to the crib but the nap was short lived. Five minutes later - if we're lucky - you were wide awake.
Through the tears you repeatedly asked for your bink. We're in our third day without it but I eventually caved. Streak over, time to start a new one.
When it was painfully obvious there would be no nap we went grocery shopping. Finally.
The first thing you aid to me after walking in the door: "More Mickey?"
Hooray (insert sarcasm here) ... by now I've lost count of how many episodes we've watched.
Mom sent me a text asking to bring the truck to the house she was meeting with her client at so we loaded up once more and met her and Karen.
The client was cleaning out their house for their elderly parents and offered some items to mom that she thought would make good photo props.
We loaded the truck up with a trunk and cool old bed frame along with a dresser for Karen.
Karen, coindently, lives within walking distance of Price Park. After we unloaded the truck we took you to see the ducks for a few minutes.
A few waves and "Hi ducks!" later we went to the playground to swing.
But, as you can watch, you were more interested in the ducks.
It was getting late and a little chilly so we said our goodbyes to the water fowl and promised them we'd be back this summer.
