Thanks to your mom the light bulb burst alive above our heads this afternoon. It was more like a blinding floodlight in the pitch dark asking us to come towards it.
What I'm trying to say is, we need a MagnaDoodle and we need it stat.
We met the Fenner side of the family at your great grandpa's for an early Christmas gathering today.
You were one of four great grand kids in attendance. Ally, Reese, and Peyton were also there. The youngest three - yourself included - were given toys from Mom's grandpa. You received a Mickey Mouse sing-along book that you immediately took a liking too.
It became your own little dance pad throughout the afternoon.
Reese, being a little older (3) was given a little MagnaDoodle/book combo. When she was done playing with it you gravitated towards it and enjoyed drawing on it for a while. It didn't take long and you even figured out how to erase what you'd created so you could start over with a fresh canvas.
Suddenly mom said "We need one of these for basketball games."
Cue the choir of Angels. She's exactly right.
The last two games I've taken coloring books and a crayon or two with us to the gym to help keep you content in the seats. I'll look up to catch a peek at the game only to look down again and find swirls of purple or blue all over the bleachers.
It's a good thing baby wipes are the magic eraser of the toddler world.
With a MagnaDoodle your right hand can stray from the canvas all it wants and I won't have any clean up to do.
It's a good thing Christmas is right around the corner.
