Today Ava Said Her Last Name

The running joke that you're mom and I use is that we gave you an easy first name because your surname is, well, not Smith or Jones. 

Tonight, though, you blew that theory out of the water.

You've become really good at repeating what we ask you. 

Holy Moley ... "Hody Mody"

"Oh Man! and "Oh No!" for starters. 

You're also gaining more complex words.As you went up and down your slide we asked you to repeat words and eventually I tossed out "Waechter" to see what might happen.

You contemplated it for a split second and out came "Weker." 

Close enough for me!

We said "Ava Waechter" and like a broken record you repeated "Ava Weker" over and over again.

I can't begin to tell you how surprised and proud we are!
