Today Ava Explored Nature

The day began early, somewhere between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. - more towards the later if memory serves.

Seeing as how we are in a hotel I couldn't just take you out to the living room for our routine of a bottle of milk and Little Einsteins.

So, we did something even better. We got dressed and headed for the lake. The sun was just coming up and the view was majestic as the steam rose from the water on the cool morning.

Of course we threw some rocks in the water. How could we not?

We also listened to the birds and were on the lookout for alligators that go "chomp, chomp."

We started to walk along the trails when you asked to see mom and grandma. So, we began to make our way back but you quickly had a change of heart and wanted to throw more rocks.

We know what's important to you.

Eventually, we made it back to the room.

Once mom and grandma were ready we made our way to the trails.

Mom found you a sturdy walking stick - making you look like a experienced junior explorer.

Along the way we picked all the brightly colored flowers we could find - white, yellow, pink and purple.

Nature really wore you out and after a three hour nap it was time to head down to dinner. Grandpa, Casey and Brian, and Aunt Holly all made it to the park in time for dinner at the pub.

And I must say - you ate nearly three pieces of pizza. Could we be on to something here?
