Today Ava Saw Her Sibling

Today was mom's unltrasound to find out if you're going to have a baby brother or baby sister.

Let's hope you stay awake this time!

For weeks when we ask you what mommy's going to have you've responded "Baby brother" and when we follow that up with "What do you want to name baby brother?" you respond "baby sister."

Not sure that we'll take your advice but it's under consideration because we have nothing at the moment.

When we were called back to the room you weren't all that crazy about it because I had to tear you away from the kids play area in the waiting room.

You were having too much fun sweeping with the toy vacuum.

Another advantage to all of the Disney Junior cartoons - and in this case "Doc McStuffins" - we explained that mom was here for her checkup. It resonated with you and you understood.

As the ultrasound continued, you were interested in the screen and we told you that you're looking at your baby brother or sister. This time you told us it's a girl.

You'll have to wait until you open your final present at your party on Sunday to find out. You see, Aunt Holly is the only one that knows the gender right now.

We'll all find out together when pink or blue balloons pop out of that last box.

When it came time during the exam to find out the gender, we asked the tech to send Aunt Holly a text with the gender and then quickly delete it from my phone.

That way she can work on the reveal.

We'll see how many times you change your mind between now and Sunday.
