Today Ava Went to the Parade

I might have attended the Grand Parade once or twice, probably when I was your age, but never in recent memory, especially the past 11 years.

Mom had talked to Brittaney and Roy and they trio decided to take you and Keelie down to check things out.

You saw big balloons ...

And listened for police cars ...

After about two hours and a soaked pair of pants later (you couldn't contain your excitement to your diaper, mom had to get you out of the sun and headed home.

That must be a long parade if you didn't see the whole thing in two hours.

Saturday is a busy day for me as it's Enshrinement Day. With a lot of scrambling around before heading to the stage for the duration and this year the weather threw a wrench in things.

The skies looked blue and sunny in the photos above, but that wasn't the case for later this afternoon.

Long story short, we dodged a bullet for the Ceremony and it went off flawlessly.

When it was time for you to go to bed mom sent me a good night message.

I need to put an end to this "girl power." :)

One more day and we're a complete family again!
