Today Ava Was Frustrated With Her Blocks

Mom and I were playing with you in the living room this afternoon and you were doing your best to build with your blocks.

Listen to me, Brutus, we''re going to win!
You hear me?!
You love the blocks even though they cause you the most frustration.

It began a few days ago, we'd hear whines and screams from the living room and come running.

The first time or two we thought something was wrong. You're not hurt or in pain of any sort, these screams are different. More of a frustration that something isn't going the way you want it to.

You love to play with your building blocks, the ones Aunt Holly bought you for your birthday, but inevitably there will be a moment or two that pierces our eardrums.

You'll try and put two pieces together but have a hard time getting them lined up properly. I think it angers you because you know what they should be doing and they are not.

In your mind, you know what you want to do, but the dexterity to line them up isn't quite there. We know your a problem solver and in no time you'll be building masterpieces with your blocks.

This was a mild meltdown, but still give you a little insight into what I'm describing.
